INVIO’S FORMER CLOUD SERVICE PROVIDER and THE NEED TO EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONSBefore moving to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), we were using a different cloud-based service provider. Compared to GCP, our former service provider had a more complex structure in terms of both architecture and interface. Therefore, we needed to recruit extra human resources for the management and operation of servers. This situation led us to seek an alternative.
WHY INVIO CHOSE GCP AMONG OTHERS
Previously, we had to follow technological innovations ourselves and analyze the needs of our own as Invio. At this point, Kartaca’s consultancy services and their regular updates by closely following the improvements in the GCP platform minimizes the time we spend on research and analysis.
Another factor affecting our decision is that our customers have recently started switching to GCP as well.
GCP MIGRATION PROCESS
It would be fair to say that it has been a swift and easy migration process. The entire migration was completed in a week. Migrate for Compute Engine (formerly Velostrata) facilitated the GCP migration by reducing the risks and costs involved.
We could find all the equivalent services at GCP. Thus, there was no need for architectural change and further development. The only requirement was a small adjustment to the network configuration.
During the migration, we proceeded with the support of Kartaca team for the technical problems we had with our former storage service.

We also like that the Google Cloud Console mobile app enables us to access the management console from anywhere at no extra cost, and instantly take action; it has made our daily flow much easier.
