Founded in 1973, Karaca, under its own brand name, brings together 28,000 products in 140 categories, from dinnerware to small household appliances.THE PROBLEM
Karaca's data infrastructure included MySQL databases on a competitor hyperscaler and on-prem servers, with their reports in BigQuery. This distributed architecture complicated data analytics; ensuring data integrity and creating an efficient analytics environment were significant challenges. They required data consistency, synchronization, and consolidation into a single environment for comprehensive analysis, alongside secure, real-time data transfer to BigQuery.THE SOLUTION
Kartaca modernized Karaca's data infrastructure with Datastream, enabling real-time data streaming from MySQL on their cloud service provider and on-prem servers to BigQuery via secure VPN configurations. We implemented Change Data Capture (CDC) to instantly reflect database changes in BigQuery tables.RESULTS
